Meet the Miner VR is a documentary-style VR simulation for the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Developed for the German Television Channel WDR to be played in a 4D-setup, the experience puts the user into the role of a coal miner in the year 1918 in Germany.

As grime-strained mine worker you discover the hardships and dangers of underground coal mining 100 years ago, when safety precautions were very low and working conditions at a very bad state. Pick up your pickaxe, race down hundreds of meters into the earth in a shaky elevator and hit coal out of the walls, bent down in a dark, narrow shaft.
